Kevin Judd was chief winemaker at Cloudy Bay for 25 years and the person responsible for the groundbreaking early wines they produced. Kevin named his own Marlborough vineyard 'Greywacke' after the round river stones prevalent in the soils and they produced their first wines in 2009.
